- Admitted to the New York State Bar, 1959
- Assistant Corporation Counsel - City of New York, (1964) representing the City, the Transit Authority and the Board of Education in litigation in the New York Supreme Courts and Federal District Courts
- Partner - Buckley, Treacy, Schaffel, Mackey, Abbate & Moore, (1967) the first law firm in the United States to specialize in construction law. The firm was founded in 1872 and currently has offices in New York City and Newark, New Jersey. During 28 years with the firm, represented owners, contractors, architects and engineers in all areas of the United States involving claims arising out of the construction of Dams, Hydro-Electric Plants, Bulk Mail Centers, Nuclear Power Plants, Electric Power Plants, Water Treatment Plants, Schools, Hospitals, Museums, Highways, Sewage Treatment Plants, Ice Skating Arenas and Swimming Pool Complexes, Sewer Projects and Terminal Markets in the public sector. In the private sector, handled disputes arising out of the construction of Medical Arts Buildings, Department Stores, Church renovations, as well as new apartment buildings, store and dwelling complexes and Country Club renovations
- Have appeared before various U.S. District Courts, the Corps of Engineers Board of Contracts Appeals, Armed Services Board of Contract Appeals, and General Services Administration. In addition, have also practiced in all levels of courts in New York State, including the Court of Claims and the U.S. Court of Claims
