- Senior Partner, Burns, Ammirato, Palumbo, Milam & Baronian in Pasadena, 1976- 1997, handling jury trials, arbitrations and mediations which included several construction defect and construction accident matters, as well as various employment discrimination, breach of contract, insurance coverage and various other tort actions. (Was also the managing partner during the majority of the 21 years with the firm)
- Trial Attorney, Law Offices of Robert Brimberry, 1970-l973, and with Garibaldi & Sausser, Los Angeles, 1973-1976, specializing in civil liability actions with an emphasis on construction accidents, premises liability, products liability and insurance coverage disputes from the pleading stages through discovery and trial

- Since 1980 has acted as an arbitrator in over 100 cases, primarily through the Los Angeles County Superior Court. In addition, has acted as a mediator in excess of 20 cases
- Completed two mediation courses; Advanced Mediation Skills, (Pepperdine University School of Law); and Civil & Workplace Mediation Training, (Dispute Resolution Services, Inc.), as well as completing various seminars in mediation
