PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND:
- Mr. Rodriguez is a graduate of Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
- He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering in 1971
- Currently, he holds active Professional Engineer licenses in the states of California (CE28,210) and Arizona (16,390)
- Mr. Rodriquez has more than 30 years of experience in the Construction Industry
- His career started in 1967 as a member of the Carpenters Union and was involved in the construction of various types of buildings
- After college, Mr. Rodriquez served as a Field Engineer in charge of the construction of shopping centers in Pennsylvania; and as the Building Official for the City of Garden Grove, California. During the last 19 years, Mr. Rodriquez has served as a Design Project Engineer, as a Consulting Engineer, and as an expert witness in construction defect litigation
- For seven years, Mr. Rodriquez served as a City Council-appointed member of the City of Garden Grove Administrative Board of Appeals
- This Board was authorized to settle disputes between the public and the City of Garden Grove Building Department
- This Board was empowered to make Building Code interpretations and enforcement
- Their decisions were not appealable to City Council
- Mr. Rodriquez's areas of expertise include: Structural Design of all types of buildings; Union Building Code interpretation and enforcement; and general construction practices
- As an expert witness, Mr. Rodriquez has given deposition testimony several times and has also testified in court and in binding arbitration hearings

EMPLOYMENT HISTORY:
- For the past 19 years, Mr. Rodriquez has been self-employed as a structural design engineer, consulting engineer, and as an expert witness in construction litigation
- As a design engineer, Mr. Rodriquez has designed and is listed as the Engineer of Record for more than 1600 projects in California, Arizona, Nevada and Idaho
- For the last nine years, Mr. Rodriquez has provided expert witness services for plaintiffs, developers, subcontractors, insurance companies, and property owners
- To date, he has served on more than 80 cases
- Prior to self-employment, Mr. Rodriquez was employed by the City of Garden Grove for seven years as Plan Check Engineer/ Supervisor and as Building Official
- During his tenure with the City of Garden Grove, Mr. Rodriquez plan checked over 800 building projects including the Crystal Cathedral
