For the past 15 years, Mr. Maler has specialized exclusively in the environmental area. Mr. Maler’s knowledge extends through the federal, state and local regulatory structures. He bas extensive knowledge of CERCLA, RCRA, state environmental laws and local enforcement He has hands-on experience in the private and public sectors. His experience extends to the prosecution and defense of environmental remediation cost allocation cases, insurance disputes regarding environmental claims, regulatory compliance issues before government agencies, Proposition 65 concerns, and environ-mental compliance audits He has had extensive experience before the Department of Toxic Substance Control, the Regional Water Quality Control Boards, and local enforce-ment agencies

ADR EXPERIENCE:

TEACHING POSITIONS & PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATIONS:

Mr. Maler has taught extensively in the environmental law area. He was the principal creator and instructor for many of the regulatory courses at UCLA Extension and has been a featured speaker at Executive Enterprises and Government Institute programs regarding environmental legal and management issues. He has also served as a panelist at CEB environmental law courses, as well as serving as Chairperson of the Environmental Committee of a chamber of commerce and vice-chairperson of the California Legislation Committee, California Hazardous Waste Association
